Those looking for the latest operating system update for the Sprint LG G Flex 2 won’t have to wait any longer as the first sighting of 5.1.1 has finally been spotted. Sprint just released Android 5.1.1 for the G Flex 2 which brings with it enhancements to Google’s Material Design, security features, performance improvements, and owner controlled factory reset protection.
The Sprint LG G Flex 2 Android 5.1.1 update is currently being rolled out via the OTA install and comes with the build version LS996ZV6. Some users have reported the install option noted on screen early this morning, but if you aren’t one of the lucky as of yet continue to be patient.
As is the case of any OTA update, it may take time to reach all handsets. It’s said that it can take anywhere up to two weeks after the rollout starts for it to be available to all, but typically this happens in about a week.
