While much of the world is already getting a taste of the new Android Operating System, Samsung users are still waiting. With what was initially to be a complete rollout of the Android 5.0 Operating System release on all Android devices by the end of 2014 is now obviously not. Nexus devices were the first to see the new OS in November and after the initial release there has been a series of updates which fixed many small problems with the initial launch.
There has been new information that Samsung owners will begin to start seeing the new Android 5.0 update sometime this month, but no specific date has been mentioned. Much of the OS release will be carrier specific as operating system itself will have to re-tooled to meet specific cell carrier specs.
According to some very strong leaks, the new Android 5.0 update will first be seen for Galaxy S5 owners before making its way to the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge. There is also expected to be a second Samsung release on older devices such as the S4 and Note 3 which is expected to take place by the end of January.
