The follow-up to the Galaxy A7 looks like it’ll be debuting in countries other than China as we have been hearing some new rumors on the Samsung Galaxy A8. We’ve been covering the inevitable release of the A8 which was initially thought to become an exclusive handset to China, but now it seems like it’ll be heading to markets throughout Asia, Europe, and possibly many more.
This will bode well for consumers who have been looking forward to what seems to be the thinnest Samsung smartphone yet, as it looks like it will be under 6mm thin. This is amazing to say the least as the Galaxy A8 is also said to feature a more responsive fingerprint reader. The swipe sensor that we have seen in previous flagships looks like it feature a touch sensor instead of the unreliable swipe sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 release rumors comes as no surprise as the Korean tech giant is looking to further themselves against other tech giants. With the likes of Apple remaining strong in some of the largest markets and start-ups such as Xiaomi looking to continue making a name for themselves, the debut of the A8 in larger markets could with Samsung branding.
The outer shell of the Galaxy A8 is believed to be a full-metal body and sport a large 5.7” full HD Super Amoled display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. The power could come from a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, and a 3050 mAh battery. There will be ample storage including 16GB of internal memory and expandable memory options.
We could see the Samsung Galaxy A8 release as early as this summer, and is most likely to debut in China and Korea before making its way around Asia. We’re hoping the rumors are true and it will be launched in other markets including Europe sometime during the end of this summer.
Stay tuned for more info as we’ll be bringing you the latest updates on when and where the A8 will be heading.
