We all know what Samsung’s next flagship will be, and right around the corner we will see the Galaxy S6. The most popular series of Android smartphones will debut in the coming year with a twist, and one that consumers will love to see. Persistent rumors on a second version called the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge looks to capitalize on the success of the curved Edge variant of the Galaxy Note.
It’s looking more and more that we’ll see the S6 debut alongside the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, and both will be here sooner than you think. With both versions now rumored to be released by the end of March 2015, many area already calling the S6 the best Android smartphone of the year. Initially believed to be an April release, it’s looking as though Samsung is trying to gain the competitive edge with the early 2015 Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge release date.
The curved design with the side swipe controls was originally intended to be a limited market release of the Galaxy Note 4, but due to the huge success it seems it will be much more. Many of the specs between the S6 and S6 Edge will be the same such as a 21 MP front camera, Super Amoled 2K display, quad-core processor, and 4 GB RAM.
The unique nature of the curved screen and Edge controls are likely to raise consumer interest, which is precisely what Samsung is intending. As the overall concept of Samsung smartphones looks to concentrate on only premium specs, the S6 Edge concept truly makes sense. With the price of the Edge estimated at $100 more, it will only be a small price to pay for one of the hottest smartphone concepts.
As more comes available on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge rumors, you can expect to see them here first.
