A few days ago we learned that Meizu is looking to launch a new handset by the name of MX5, and new leaks are suggesting there will be a Pro version launched the same time. This is something that most manufacturers are doing as launching more than one variant of the same handset ultimately increases customer appeal by giving them what they want most.
The Meizu MX5 and premium version Meizu MX5 Pro looks too launched later this month, and are not likely to make their way to the global market. At first sight, it’s hard not to appreciate the amazing design quality of both versions sporting a new bezel-less display.
The specs being reported for both versions are high quality and look to rival that of any flagship released this year. The standard MX5 will sport a 5.5” Super Amoled display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. The MX5 Pro is rumored to be a Phablet-sized smartphone featuring a 6” full HD display. Aside from the screen size, not much is known on the specs of the Pro version, although, you can expect more power, RAM, and surely some added features not seen in the standard model.
The Meizu MX5 specs will feature a MediaTex processor, 3GB RAM, 20MP rear camera, and a smaller 3MP front-facing camera. We’re hoping Meizu will make both models official by the end of June, which is what most analysts fully believe.
