LG G2 Android 5.0.2 Update Now Available in India

The first sighting of Android 5.0.2 has been spotted rolling out to consumers rocking the LG G2 in India, and as of yet there have been no problems reported. There has been a lot of frustration for many throughout the Indian market as consumers have been waiting for the latest version of Lollipop longer than consumers in many other markets, including LG handsets.

Those looking for the LG G2 Android 5.0.2 update in India won’t be seeing it OTA, instead, it’ll only be available for download via LG PC Suite. Users will have to connect their G2 to a PC, install the LG PC Suite software onto their PC’s to install the update. Connectivity between phone and PC takes place via a USB data cable.

LG G2 Android 5.0.2 Update Now Available in India

The 5.0.2 update is relatively small at 750MB and is labeled as software version V30b-ESA-XX. You can check manually to see if the update is available after connecting your phone to a PC by going to “Upgrade Check” and looking for the software version available.

Make sure you back-up your device before installing Android 5.0.2 on your LG G2, and your phone should be at least 75% battery life. You’ll need about 4GB of free space before installing the update and it takes nearly 20 minutes to install.
