Lenovo to Launch Two New Budget Friendly Smartphones in 2015; Lenovo P90 and Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro

Lenovo made the official announcements at CES that many of us expected while introducing two new budget friendly smartphones. The extension of the Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro and the new Lenovo P90 will be officially launched right around the corner is expected to appeal to budget minded consumers.

Both the Lenovo Android smartphones will have a formidable lineup of specifications and features, but the comparable price is expected to bring in a new array of consumers. The extension of the Lenovo Vibe X2, the Pro will have some upgraded features including a larger HD 5.3” display instead of the 5” screen of the Lenovo Vibe X2.

The Vibe X2 Pro will sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 64-bit chipset at 1.5 ghz and 2 GB of RAM. There will only be on internal memory option at 32 GB, but one will have the option of expanding the memory to 64 GB with an optional micro SD card. A 13 MP primary camera and a 5 MP secondary camera will round out the Lenovo Vibe X2 specs.

The launch of the Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro release will come in three color options including Rock Pink, Electric Blue, and Champagne Gold. The battery will be nothing to brag about as the Vibe X2 Pro will come with a 2410 mAh battery.

The second budget friendly release called the Lenovo P90 will be a somewhat comparable Android smartphone, and is expected to be officially released worldwide by the end of February. The Lenovo P90 will feature a quality 5.5” display with a full HD LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. It will also sport a 64-bit chipset, but will be an Intel Atom processor.

There are many similarities between the Vibe X2 Pro and the P90 including 32 GB of internal memory, 13 MP primary camera, and a 5 MP secondary camera. The batteries will be a huge difference as the P90 will feature a healthy 4000 mAh battery. Out of the box, both will feature the Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system, but will be upgradeable to the new Android 5.0.1 shortly after their releases.
