Xiaomi has just dropped the price of the Mi 4 in India on both the 16 and 64GB models making the price more competitive in other markets. The permanent price drop on the Xiaomi Mi 4 16GB model is now Rs. 14,999, and for those wanting more memory will now only pay Rs. 19,999 for the 64GB model.
The permanent price drop comes as Xiaomi has just launched new smartphones and will be coming to the Indian market in the very near future. The Mi 4 is a great handset considering what Xiaomi packs in including a 5” display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920.
The LCD display of the Mi 4 has a pixel density of 441ppi which, when comparing with other similar handsets is much better. Powered by a Adreno 330 GPU clocked at 2.5GHz, 3GB RAM, and a 13MP rear camera, and an 8MP front-facing camera are all found within.
The Mi 4 also boasts a 3080 mAh battery which gives consumers more than 50% battery life in less than a one hour charge. Unfortunately, Lollipop isn’t the operating system of choice as Android 4.4.3 is pre-installed.
With the Xiaomi Mi 5 rumored to be launched later this year or early next year, the new Xiaomi Mi 4 price drop makes a lot of sense. Manufacturers typically drop the price of their current model shortly before launching a new handset, which is what Xiaomi looks to be doing in India.
