Google+ has never lived up to its expectations, especially when looking at the likes of other social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. But now there’s something new, and it’s called Google+ Collections. Collections was just launched today and takes social sharing within your circle of friends to a whole new meaning, but it seems more like something out of Pinterest Collection, than a Google+ Collections.
The official rollout began today, and you may have already seen it and was more confused as to what it is. Now, users can dedicated a specific Google+ page and share it within any one their circles. Google+ Collections is expected to increase the exposure while enhancing the functionality of the floundering social media site.
Take a book right out of Pinterest, Google is hoping to increase its overall user base. 4-6 million users currently may seem like a lot, but when compared to the 1.4 billion users on Facebook, it hardly is.
It’ll be interesting to see how receptive users are with the new Google+ Collections features, and just what it’ll do for the current and future hopefuls Google’s hoping to get back. If you haven’t experienced it yet, you can download the Google+ app through Google Play and enjoy the new Collections through this exclusive link.
