Probably the most popular RPG series of all time just got a whole lot bigger as Final Fantasy Tactics for Android has finally arrived into Google Play. Originally released back in 1997 as the first tactical Final Fantasy game and then re-released almost 10 years later on the PSP as The War of the Lions with the same version finally making its way to Android.
The game play is comparable to the PSP version which debuted some 8 years ago, but adds some new features along with updated cinematography. Downloading through the Google Play Store will set you back just under $14, which most would consider is a steal for such a classic.
Some of the new features include:
- Intuitive touch controls improves map zoom/zoom out, rotation, and the overall size
- Touch screen controls such as tapping to bring up menus and controlling figures
- Faster load times
- Option to skip some cinematography screens
