Asus has just release Lollipop for all three ZenFone’s that debuted last year including the Asus ZenFone 4, 5, and 6. The long-awaited Lollipop operating system for Asus devices has been faced with problems that have caused the delays, but that all seems to be a thing of the past.
The Asus ZenFone 4, 5, and 6 Lollipop update is being reported to be bug free, and has been seen rolling out to all three handsets over the past couple of days. The update is via an OTA install and will take a matter of weeks before everyone sees the install option.
Users can install the update manually or check their current operating system by going to the phones settings and seeing what version is installed. For those who have downloaded Lollipop, you may have realized that some apps installed on your smartphone are no longer working.
This seems to be a common problem as some apps aren’t compatible with the latest update, but should be over-time. The following some apps not supported with Lollipop, and are uninstalled with the update:
- Battery Widget
- Google Text to Speech
- Movie Studio
Each ZenFone Lollipop version is also seeing new apps installed with Lollipop including some of the following:
- Trip Advisor
- Asus Auto Start Service Manager
- Asus Support
The following are some of the features that are altered or enhanced with the operating system upgrade:
- Quick toggle settings
- Incall screen
