Being tagged with $1500, the Tag Heuer Connected is considered as one of the most expensive smartwatches on the market. But is it really worth of the price tag? Read this Android smartwatch review to get the answer.
Android Smartwatch Review: Design
Tag Heuer Connected is the most beautiful smartwatch on the market. There is no doubt about it. Its body has been constructed with the Grade II Titanium, which not only makes the device look cool but also extremely durable. The vulcanized rubber straps provide you with the best comfort that you can get from any smartwatch on the market. For all these reasons, Tag Heuer Connected gets an outstanding feedback from us in our Android smartwatch review.
Android Smartwatch Review: Display
The 1.5-inch display is pretty good. Having a pixel density of 240 ppi, it is able to produce a decent view. However, if you put it beside other leading smartwatches on the market, including Huawei Watch and Samsung Galaxy Gear S2, you will be really disappointed. It is not as sharp as them. But it is definitely not the most terrible display. However, with respect to the higher price tag, it should have been much better.
Android Smartwatch Review: Battery
While most of the Android smartwatches sports around 300 mAh batteries, the Tag Heuer Connected comes with a much bigger 410 mAh battery. As a result, it can last significantly longer than them. More specifically, it can last around 25 hours. While it sounds really impressive, it cannot defeat 2-3 days battery back-up time of the Samsung Gear S2. Overall, the battery of the Tag Heuer Connected is great, but not outstanding. Nonetheless, it gets a positive feedback in our Android smartwatch review.
Android Smartwatch Review: Performance
We haven’t found any issue with the performance. It runs all the apps with a superb pace. You can swipe around the operating system very quickly. All the credits go to 1.6-GHz processor and 1 GB RAM. In terms of performance, it can outperform any smartwatch on the market.
Android Smartwatch Review: Sensors
Tag Heuer Connected comes with accelerometer and gyroscope for tracking your activity. But it doesn’t have any heart rate sensor and GPS. While they may not sound too significant, as you are very unlikely to wear such an expensive device during running, they should have been included to justify the high price tag.
Android Smartwatch Review: The Verdict
If you consider mediocre display, average battery performance and lack of GPS and heart rate sensors, the $1500 price tag definitely doesn’t look to be justified. However, if you consider the incredibly beautiful design and the ability to outperform any smartwatch on the market, Tag Heuer Connected looks really worth of the price tag. So, if you emphasize more on the look and, it is the best smartwatch for you right at this moment.
